At IntercomLux, we are more than a security company. As a locally founded company, we believe in our social impact and what we can do to support the community in which we, and our clients, operate within. IntercomLux is proud to support local initiatives that align with our brand ethos and underlying values. 

FIELD ART SOCCER ACADEMY

Filed Art Soccer Academy is a Metro Vancouver-based soccer community with the passion, skill and experience to develop young athletes into elite-level soccer players. Field Art FC teaches its players the mental, physical, tactical and technical skills that they need to be competitive and have fun playing the game of soccer.

As a local Vancouver security company founded by two individuals from immigrant families, who excelled in sports at the collegiate and professional level, IntercomLux understands how sports and team activities instill strong values within youth, encouraging a higher self-esteem, increased confidence and a dedicated work ethic. IntercomLux has provided thousands of dollars in donations to support the Field Art Soccer Academy and ensure that children in the community have the opportunity to partake in soccer camps during the summer months.

GATEWAY ACADEMY

Gateway Academy offers online, one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions with experienced and certified teachers and educators to middle school, secondary students and first year university students. Founded by a motivated team of dreamers that are skilled in fields of science, mathematics, language, art, and more, Gateway prides itself on delivering quality services, exceptional efficiency and the highest level of professionalism. 

Every September, IntercomLux seeks applications from students between Grade 7 to 12 who meet two key criteria: 1) they are making a significant impact within their community and 2) they are looking for assistance in the upcoming school year with a specific subject (i.e. Math, English, Science, etc.). From this pool of students, IntercomLux selects one student to receive a $500.00 bursary for any of Gateway Academy's tutoring packages.

Vancouver Art Gallery

After multiple occurrences of vandalism took place at the memorial for the Residential School victims at the Vancouver Art Galley as well as the elders that began supervising the memorial site were consistently being harassed and threatened. To ensure our Indigenous community was able to mourn in peace and be among their loved ones, IntercomLux decided to intervene to put the disturbances to an end.

We immediately got in contact with a member of the Indigenous community and offered our security services to assist in protecting the site overnight. We offered this service at no cost as our main objective was to allow the elders and members of the Indigenous community time to recuperate and mourn in peace without worrying about having to camp out overnight at the Vancouver Art Gallery. Our team was able to arrange for a guard to be on-site overnight within 24 hours and we ensured that a guard was present on-site for the overnight shift for a span of a week to allow the elders and members of the community to take some time to mourn and do so without fear of vandalism.
